Spider Veins

SPIDER VEIN TREATMENT IN OMAHA, NE

Sclerotherapy, dermatologist Omaha, NE

Sclerotherapy is a method of treating blood vessels, often present on the legs if adults. Spider veins are smaller vessels, often have a red or bluish color, and are on the surface of the skin; Varicose veins are larger vessels that may be raised above the skin and often are associated with pain and burning.

Dr. Stoller injects a hypertonic saline solution which is a concentrated solution of salt and water to treat spider veins. The solution collapses the vessels and they are reabsorbed by the body over several weeks. One or more sessions are required for the spider veins to disappear. It is not necessary to wear support hose following the injections. For a consultation, contact the Center of Dermatology, P.C., in the Omaha area at 402-398-9200. Most patients can be seen within 24-48 hours.
